H. 'Dumb Blonde'     (Pickles, 07)   s/f $75.00
25" EM SEv 5 1/2". Tet. 23 buds
Wow! If you like bagels, this is a perfectly formed, round, and full formed cultivar, thus the name, H. 'Dumb Blonde'. A voluptuous yellow self that is  lightly sculpted, plus heavy ruffles that extend all the way down into the throat heart of lime green. A good parent for sculpted seedlings with that exquisite round form. A vigorous grower that increases rapidly. Seedling No. 0476. [Larry Grace X (Sunshine Riches X Doc Branch)].

H. 'Free Lee'   (Pickles, 07) d/f $100.00
29" EM Ext SEv 5 3/4". Tet. 23 buds.
Lemon creme brule comes to mind when seeing this good-enough-to-eat daylily. H. 'Free Lee' sports a form with ruffles while displaying a small lipstick halo that is interrupted by light midribs. As you can see, there are three escapes from the eye through the light midribs, so possibly Lee can get out of jail. The throat leads to an olive green heart. The ruffles carry over on a smaller scale to the sepals.  A great garden flower and good parent.  Seedling No. 0315. (Summertime Splendor X tetra Wings Of Chance).

H. Groovy Chick*   (Pickles, 07)   d/f $100.00
28" EM SEv LFr 5". Tet. 26 buds.
Another in our line of sculpted cultivars, H. 'Groovy Chick' is a perfect gold self that has tiny ruffles on the larger ruffled edges of the petals. The extravagant ruffles extend deep into the green throat. Fertile and producing kids with even deeper sculpting. Flowers are displayed well above the dark green foliage. A full sib to last year's H. 'Groovy Guy'. A full, overlapped, and round form. A vigorous grower that increases moderately fast. Seedling No. 0324C. (America's Most Wanted X Empire Returns).

H. 'Holy Moly'   (Pickles, 07)   d/f $100.00
35" E SEv Re 5 3/4". Tet. 25 buds.
A light cadmium yellow self that is lightly sculpted and has a full, round, and flat form. The petal edges are heavily ruffled. The heart is a lime green. This is not the most heavily sculped flower we have introduced, but the importance of H. 'Holy Moly' is in its height. Many sculpted varieties are short of scape, so the height of this flower is important in hybridizing for sculpted flowers. Opens flat on cool mornings and is fertile both ways. Seedling No. 0320C. (Good Morning America X Carved Pumpkin Pie).

H. 'Horatio Alger'  (Pickles, 07)    d/f $100.00
28" M SEv Re 5 3/8". Tet. 29 buds.
The large edge of port, with a matching eyezone, dominates this smoky rosy polychrome. A pale corn yellow edge finishes the heavy port ruffles and is repeated in the throat. H. 'Horatio Alger's' ivory midribs fade to oyster on the lovely full petals. A grandkid of H. Lavender Blue Baby, whose influence can be seen in the color of the etched eye and double petal edge. Fertile both ways and a vigorous grower. Seedling No. 0347 (Palace Garden Beauty X Forbidden Dreams).

H. 'Horny Devil'   (Pickles, 07) s/f $150.00 sold out
30" MLa D/SEv Ext 5". Tet. 23 buds.
It's all in the name! The dominant horns, or teeth, are dramatically flaunted on this peachy polychrome. Even the sepals are forming knobs. The color is nice and clear, the throat is small and green. H. 'Horny Devil' has been one of the most heavily used seedlings, both pollen and pod, that we have ever produced. We will see the results of all these seedlings next year. This cultivar should do well in northern climes. Seedling No. 0357. (Forestlake Ragamuffin X Antique Wizard).
