We have arranged with the Chattanooga Choo-Choo Holiday Inn, 1400 Market
Street, Chattanooga, TN 37402 for an $82.00 per night (single/double) for this
meeting. To receive this rate, call the Choo-Choo at 1-800-TRACK29 toll free - or
423-266-5000 and mention the Myrtle Beach at Chattanooga meeting. This is a
festive season at the Choo-Choo, and the property will be decorated in the
Christmas spirit. The Chattanooga Choo-Choo Holiday Inn provides free
transportation to and from the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport upon request.
This meeting will not be tied to any AHS region, so hopefully it will be represented
by attendance from all 15 AHS regions. There will be no registration fee other than
a small amount to cover the meeting room and coffee. There will be no group
dinners or plant auction. Those who remember Chattanooga from the MWS days
know what a wonderful place it is to attend a meeting. We have two aquariums
now, fresh and salt water, many fine restaurants in downtown Chattanooga (who
can forget Sticky Fingers BBQ), free shuttle service from the hotel to the
downtown area, plus many other attractions. If you bring non-daylily companions,
there are many other attractions for them to enjoy.
The meeting will be held in the Finley Lecture Hall. Those of you who have attended
meetings here in the past will remember the stadium style meeting room with the
big comfortable chairs.
A laptop computer and digital projector will be available to show PowerPoint
images. Any other format will be the responsibility of the hybridizer. We request
that you limit your images to 2010 introductions and seedlings. The schedule will
be determined on the meeting day.
The schedule for showing images will be determined by the number of hybridizer's
wanting to show and the number of images each plans to show. The room will be
available on Friday evening, all day Saturday and Sunday morning.
Please notify Lee Pickles if you plan to attend and the approximate number of
images you will show.
